Mold In Condominium Stairwell

This condominium experienced severe mold growth in a stairwell due to a plumbing leak that went undetected for months. Residents began to smell a musty odor and SERVPRO of Edmonds came out to inspect. An extensive amount of mold was discovered behind the wall. Our team wore the proper protective equipment to remove the mold and sanitize the area. Proper safety gear should always be worn when dealing with mold. A high quality, high filtration face mask is a must, as are vinyl or neoprene gloves. A full protective suit is recommended when using harsh chemicals and for larger mold remediation projects. Once the space was decontaminated it was "Like it never even happened."
